The refurbished old building provides a cozy atmosphere, with a beautiful beer garden. Menu options range from delicious Sunday roasts to crispy beef salads. While some individuals had issues with portion sizes or running out of basic ingredients, others raved about the new menu items like caramel profiteroles. The overall consensus seems to be that The Pickering Arms is worth a visit, especially for its charming ambiance and range of menu options.
Lovely cosy atmosphere with a log fire Staff very polite Had pork belly bites Was all fat very little pork just tasted sloppy Chicken shnitzel coating was very burnt Salad looked dated Chips where nice Overall disappointment shame really as set out lovely
Late lunch for 5 at the pickering Arms today, heard it was new landlords .... beyond happy with out visit. The new landlady very welcoming and friendly, the young waiter was great at his job, not intrusive of our conversations while serving but able to supply all our requirements. The FOOD was beautifully presented, competitive in pricing but very, yummy. Would highly recommend and certainly will revisit, thank you
Absolutely appalling waited 1hour for a starter and after two hours our main still hadn’t turned up. We asked for the bill and leave the mains . Tables who had been served around suggested cold chicken and raw parsnips . No apology or anything. Overall shocking experience
We had the lunchtime deal. The food was absolutely delicious and great value. Wonderful, friendly service. Highly recommended.
Terrible staff and service, long waits for food and drinks
