I went to Panera at noon Saturday and ordered a duet. I was told they did not have any soup. I then asked for a substitution and was turned down by both an associate and a manager. I went to Panera at noon Saturday and ordered a duet. I was told they did not have any soup. I then asked for a substitution and was turned down by both an associate and a manager. They said substitutions are not allowed. But help me understand why you can’t service the customer? It’s noon on a Saturday and you do not have soup of any flavor available. The duets consist of either a sandwich and soup or a salad and soup. Since no soups were available, I simply requested to have the sandwich and salad. And the answer was no! Now I realize why it was noon and I was the only person in line! Panera extend better customer service or you will close!!!
My order took over 25 minutes to prepare. I only ordered a Mediterranean sandwich. I order this specific sandwich often at numerous locations. This was the flattest and most dry sandwich I ever had.
