Restaurant looks nice with a traditional feel, unfortunately the the starters of mussels were inedible. I believe thay came out of the freezer as the texture was sticky and had a slight smell. Main had a burnt taste throughoutthe meal, bacon was undercooked and very salty. Wonderful family restaurant. same staff since over 10 years who know how to take care of their customers. good simple Italian kitchen, with warm attentive service.
Strong rain and bad traffic in chingford a weekday evening brought us to the door of la Baita...and we have a bit an Italian restaurant tour in the local opposite recently, so we thought why not! based on this one visit la baita suggests all other Italian restaurants that we combined in wanstead, buckhurst hill, chigwell, loughton and snaresbrook. we are coming back in a definitiw. fresh eating, very attentive staff, a great menu and interesting special board and a friendly family atmosphere.
Friendly, welcoming restaurant that really cares for its clientele. super service. excellent market fresh fish cooked to perfection.
