we came around approx. 7p and enjoyed sitting in a section that was apparently empty. we had a bottle of champs and ordered the bark carpacio for a starter. we tried the chicken and mushroom plate and I forget the other. eating was good, but maybe a bit salty. View all feedback.
What Sandra Mcclure doesn't like about Il Fornaio Walnut Creek:
Good service and tasty food. I have been there twice in a span of 3 months and the menu was still very brief. I probably will not go back for a while because the menu is too limited. That's too bad. The restaurant is huge, which is probably why they don't give many choices. I recommend it for pizza and drinks, though. View all feedback.
The service was Exelelnt and the food was Wonderful. A bit pricey but it was a several Birthdays in my Family celebration and we did have a really good Time. We will probably go there next year.
Food is to die for! Great environment and lovely outdoor seating. I appreciate their strict COVID-19 protocols. Also their drink menu is vast with a little something for everyone.
Great lighting and dining experience! The butternut squash ravioli (casonzei alla zucca) was sweet and delicate, and their other pastas are great as well. The Fradiavola pizza is a little underwhelming, but the spiciness of it is well balanced. Would def recommend!
I hosted a special birthday dinner for 2 loved ones on Sunday and the staff was so accommodating and provided excellent service! We were able to make a last minute reservation for a party of 10 and everything went so smoothly. The food is DELICIOUS and the bar served excellent drinks. I plan to go back to eat again. I recommend the smoked salmon bruschetta and any pasta dish!
Finally tried this place for lunch. Seated quickly. The waitress was attentive. Bread came out with the Regina salad. The salad was different for me, considering the couscous, but very tasty. Large portion so we shared it. He ordered the lasagna which was also a surprisingly big portion. A little underwhelming in the flavor department and there was a soft, almost creamy cheese on top that we couldn't identify. I ordered the seasonal gnocchi dish to try, but with pasta. The sauce itself was not enjoyable. The waitress was nice enough to let me order something different. I went with the linguine mare pasta with a little extra spice. Loved every bite! Id come back here for the service alone. Please forgive the angle on the seafood pasta pic!
