What Fabiola Tromp doesn't like about Chicken Pie Shop:
Been here once before today, but will never be going back. We (only two of us) waited for well over an hour for our food to come out. Such a loooong wait, and the manager did NOTHING to compensate us and try to make up for it. Additionally, it was FREEZING inside the restaurant. I had to put my coat back ON and ask for the heat to be turned up. While my pie was pretty good, it wasn’t worth such a long wait in a resta... View all feedback.
So secret and delish. I love all the attention to detail in the food and in the restaurant. Even the water is flavored with cucumber and lemon, so refreshing. Simply walk and they have outdoor seating. Guests can enjoy a dinner with my friends and taste their cocktails.
This restaurant in Walnut is a fantastic place to enjoy a delicious meal. The pies are outstanding, as well as the appetizers. We tried the Carnitas Pie and the spicy chicken pot pie for dinner. The Carnitas were cooked perfectly and the spicy chicken had a great kick to it! Don't forget to add some cheese and a roasted egg on top to enhance the flavors. This is a wonderful restaurant that everyone should experience.
I visited the Chicken Pie Shop for the first time and it did not disappoint! I took my sister here for lunch and we started with the delicious pig belly and edamame appetizers. The sauce for the edamame had a wonderful spicy kick that we loved. We also shared three of their meat pies - chicken, beef short rib, and carnitas. They were all enjoyable, but our favorites were the beef and carnitas pies. I ordered the Margarita and my sister-in-law had the blackberry cocktail.
This is a very good place to eat. They offer a variety of burgers and cakes. You can also order a variety of wines and beer. The food tastes good and the stuff is friendly. Service is fast.
Not very busy, but waited about 45 minutes for our order. We would have liked to eat at the restaurant but the waitress had so much perfume on, it made me kinda sick to my stomach. We got it to go. I ordered the Guinness pie with vegetables. It does not look like any of the other photos posted. Small and oblong and missing the top crust. It was under seasoned. The dough needed more cook time. The veggies were fresh but also needed salt. I may have just been so put off by the perfume that it ruined my appetite. Others in our party said it was ok. Reheated it in the air fryer. The crust was a little better but I am not sure what part was made with Guinness. It was made from shredded meat (a roast of some kind). The white sauce/gravy was tasteless, not sure what it was. The menu said it was made with chunks of steak, mushrooms, potatoes and peas. The only thing named in mine was one pea. No steak chunks, no mushrooms, no potatoes. Disappointing.
