Amazing fine dining experience! We had the chef's table long tasting menu with wine pairing. The private dining gives you the opportunity to see how the chefs repare all the dishes. They use only local in season ingredients. The menu is fixed and it is changed every season. All the dishes were served and explained by the chefs. Almost all dishes were accompined by a different wine. I really enjoyed all the attention... View all feedback.
Great fine dining experience, amazing service. They use local ingredients and create amazing dishes. It deserves a Michelin star
One of the best tastings I have had. Wonderful service. They combined many flavor I unique ways such as a mussel wrapped in a horseradish gelatin with pickled green apples in a mussel consomé

My husband and I just got back after having dinner with another couple at Kane. As a native New Yorker/ food-lover, I must confess, Kane exceeded my expectations. The decor is subdued, intimate and has a rugged-elegance. Once inside it's hard to say what cosmopolitan city you are in, is it Paris, New York, maybe London...? We arrived quite late, so I am not sure what the ambiance is like during the day, as the colors chosen are quite dark. I photographed the lamp above our table which is lovely with a porcelain looking floral motif. The lighting borders on romantic, so a good choice for an exclusive dinner. The drinking glasses are from Reidel and the cutlery has a nice design. The tables are rather barren and the linens are lackluster but that did not stop us from enjoying the delicious tasting menu. There are a few possibilities and one can choose to have them paired with a wine-tasting menu as well. The open kitchen is an added bonus. We had the small tasting menu, our partners had one selection and we had the other. Each menu has 10 dishes, three of which are desserts. I am sorry to say that I did not make a note of each one, but I did taste all the dishes from both menus, and I only started taking pictures when we got to the desserts. The plating is beautiful and so is the variety, marinated mustard seeds, foie gras mushroom sauce over chicken, fish with a chive sauce, duck with a fermented blueberry sauce, a beef kataif appetizer (yum), delicious Horezu cheese, oh the house bread- a fusion between homemade bread and a croissant (to die for) served with elderflower butter...needless to say, the dinner was astonishing, and definitely the best meal I have had in Romania in over 25 years, sincerely, it is the closest thing to a Michelin star experience in Bucharest. While it is not inexpensive (550 lei p/p for the short tasting menu, 650 for the 13 course one- if I remember correctly), the price-quality ratio is unbeatable, it would be triple in any other city for this level of service/food. The waiters and sommelier were very nice and did their best to satisfy our questions and requests. The location is in the city center in a beautiful villa on a residential street. The next time we go, we were told that we can ask for the chef's table so that we can get more insights regarding the food. Lastly, I like writing reviews that are honest and fair, and I start by reading the 1 star reviews and work my way up. I must say, this is a 5 star restaurant without a doubt and I am in no way affiliated to this establishment. So, please make sure you have the right credit card, that you are accustomed to tasting menus, that you know that a restaurant of this caliber comes at a price, and go enjoy an amazing meal. Hats off to the Kane team and thank you for the impressive evening and for tantalizing our taste buds!
The big menu( for one) is 650 lei and the other 2 small ones 550 lei. The service is medium, but the tips is mandatory 11% for the waiters. The glass of wine is minimum 60 lei Even though the bottle itself it worth the same in supermaket hence it is not a high quality wine. The food was quite good, not impressive. However, it was incomplete due to the lack of a story behind of it and the fact that not the chef is the one who’ll serve it to you. It is a wanna be star Michelin restaurant, the price definitely is for one, but the service is for a normal one, the food is ok, but the story behind each food is missing and the overall profesionalism that should be around this type of restaurant. The water is taken, Even though it is not finished the entire bottle, the desserts were mediocre. And when You’re leaving, no one is there to say anything. From my perspective it does not worth the money. I would recommend Kaiamo more.
