Very good, breakfast Buffet Sunday Brunch. The only complaint is that the Turkey Bacon wasn't cook enough. If cooked correctly it should be close to crispy. Service was excellent, especially Lauren. Prices were reasonable View all feedback.
What BRENDA doesn't like about Swan Terrace:
Did not want the buffet so ordered Chicken Caesar salad from menu. $15 for a small, small side salad size! Chicken was very dry, could not eat it. Very disappointed with this for we eat here quite often. Glad the company was worth the $35 left hungry salad. View all feedback.
My husband and I went to Swan Terrace to celebrate our anniversary. It has a nice ambience. The food was delicious, and the staff was attentive. The manager even came over to say hi. When he found out that we were celebrating our anniversary, he sent over a dessert compliment of the kitchen with 'Happy Anniversary ' written on the plate. That was a very nice touch.
Best Wine Dinner in Virginia. An amazing 'Mouthwatering Monday ' at Swan Terrace. It seemed to just get better better all paired with wines. First, Champagne Reception with mini Bison Philly Cheesesteak and cute Crab BLT 's, Then grilled Pheasant Rabbit, Duck and even Fried Oysters with pickled watermelon. I cant even remember everything served. All for $59.00! Seriously this would cost no less than $100 anywhere else if you could find food that good. WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING BACK for another dinner. Regular dinner menu is different. Is a la carte and you can build your own 3 course menu for $29. Wine dinner was a steal for 7 courses and served by probably the best servers we have had in VB to date.
Amazing food and fantastic service. Really talented chef there now that rocks! Love the atmosphere and the grounds of the Inn too.
Sunday brunch. We were the first to arrive at 11 am, but the dining room quickly filled up with the after-church crowd. The food was excellent...good selection of what seemed to be a New Orleans themed menu, including sauteed-to-order crabcakes, cajun salmon cakes, corn chowder, roasted porkloin, beef flank steak, oysters, steamed shrimp, and an array of salads and desserts. Service by a Regent student was pleasant and polite, but a little more attentiveness to keeping water and coffee flowing would have been appreciated. At $30 per person, the quality of the experience was worth it.
No Regrets; and I'm persnickity !. In one word; Amazing. Seriously, if you are looking for outstanding service, staff, food, atmosphere and overall ambiance; look no further. It is a bit pricey, but keep in mind you are paying for high quality food that will not disappoint.<br/ <br/ We arrived last night (Tuesday for out 5:30 reservation. Nick and I met there after work (we were both in jeans and sweaters; underdressed but the Terrace was today's goal: . The staff was incredibly warm and inviting, extremely knowledgeable of their menu and procedures, and did not turn their nose up to our Groupon (Thanks Lauren! . It was our first time there and we will definitely be back. The Food: We started with a crab bisque that was delish. Sweet, creamy, hot bisque with LARGE chunks of fresh, sweet crab meat. Freshly baked, warm Olive bread and Asiago cheese bread served with a pretty rosette of room temp herb butter. (I could have made a meal of the soup and bread... YUM! . Nick had the smokey yet delicate and tender beef brisket with homemade mashed potatoes. I had the lobster ravioli's with 2 large shrimp and 1 large, perfectly seared scallop. I paired my dinner with a glass of house red cab sav; and Nick (so true to form ordered a Pitcher of Beer (which they kindly wrapped in a white linen~ it was actually really funny/cute . While I craved a selection from their (no doubt made from scratch desert menu; we could barely breathe. <br/ <br/ After we finished our wonderful meal, our expert server offered a relaxing visit to the lounge next door. We finished our beer, played a complimentary game of pool (billiards , watched the news, and departed.<br/ <br/ After Groupon for $40; our total bill (including a $17 tip =23% , was only $50. For the atmosphere, quality of food, exceptional warm, friendly and knowledgeable staff; this is hand's down one of the best experiences in Hampton Roads.
