great aesthetics and good eating. we all know that what makes ramen big is the suppenbase, and that's what they've decided here. not too easy and not excessive. I have the spicy misters and it was great. I'll say the bamboo shoots were a little sweet, which I didn't expect. but this has not taken away from the taste of the suppe. View all feedback.

omg! I have to say I was in tokio, sasebo, osaka, nagasaki and that's the next thing I found in the usa. I'm sorry I don't live in virginia, but in michigan. I wish michigan had this restaurant! I have to open one to the north, it would be a big hit. for three people it was about $60, everything was made fresh! had softdrinks and we even have doggy bags. Definitiw will be back a few times before I have to go back to... View all feedback.

Staff was very welcoming. Ordered the fried chicken ramen. The fried chicken was delicious however, the broth lacked flavor or spice. This was my first visit so I didn’t realize I needed to spice it up. I ordered takeout which was packaged nicely but was not given any hot or soy sauce or sriracha. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch
The last time I checked, this place was owned and operated by Japanese husband and wife team. So if nothing has changed recently , it still ran very well because THE FOOD IS GREAT. The Fried Chicken Ramen is outstanding. The broth itself is outstanding. (And they give you four levels of spiciness to choose from if you like spicy It's a cozy sushi bar when you first walk in, but has expanded space for more spread out dinning and for multiple customers, very nice. The decor and atmosphere almost makes you feel like you just took a portal to a ramen shop in Japan! And if you like Japanese beers, they have those available too! I looked at all the stars I gave and I was wondering if I was being too generous with this review , but I've been here twice so far, once a couple years ago, and the second time very recently and I got the same wow factor. Now that's impressive to me. The workers are energetic and positive and seem to really like working there. So that's another plus. May have something to do with good leadership. I recommend this location most definitely.
My son and I tried the Spicy Miso Ramen and it was delicious. I requested a spice level 3 and it was definitely hot, just the way I like it. My husband ordered the Kappa Nara House Ramen and my daughter ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, both of which they also enjoyed. We weren't particularly impressed with the kimchi fries, but that won't affect my overall review. The service was excellent, despite a bit of a wait which was acknowledged and apologized for. It was also convenient to have a bubble tea shop next door.
