De Rican Chef Holland - Virginia Beach

Everyone here is amazing!! Luis bartender is best on east coast, and PR, you must have his mojito. Cubano sandwich and shrimp gumbo!

Despite being seated promptly within 5 minutes of our arrival at 6pm, our experience quickly turned disappointing. After waiting for an excruciating 30 minutes at our table, we made the unfortunate decision to leave. Throughout that entire half hour, not a single waitress bothered to greet us, provide us with water, or take our orders. We were utterly ignored without a single interaction, which is simply unacceptable in terms of service. The food looked great and smelled delicious and we were exited to try it. Unfortunately, that will never happen.

My experience was ok not the best. I’ve been to the other location and tho this one seem to have a better presentation the service was a mess. The waiter was new and was not knowledgeable about the menu. I had to continuously point to the menu so he knew what I was asking for. Omg we asked for to go boxes and the top did not fit. So they gave us heavy duty black tape. We did have a large party with 2 separate waitresses and it’s unfortunate our food did not come out together it was a mess. Apparently gratuity is included in the bill and I tipped them. Unfortunately for the service that was given and had I known I would have rather not tipped. It was an overall mess. I will stick to going to the holland location. I drive 2 hrs just for authentic food and was disappointed about the service. Maybe some coaching idk I just was disappointed.

It was the first time we tried puerto rican food. We loved it!! The service was fast and friendly too :)Food: 5/5
