We complained and they replaced it with yet... read more Very nice restaurant and staff seemed to be very helpfull untill our mixed espetada came out with very gritty meat ! We complained and they replaced it with yet another gritty meat with uncooked pork! we waited so long for the replacement i ended up finishing my fish meal alone, when we asked for the bill we had the food that wasn’t eaten due to badly cooked meat on it, we were ignored by staff when we were calling about the bill, I decided to go to them to say i was happy to pay but not for the espetada, got told if i wanted the meat better cooked i should of asked ! I told them that the pork shouldn’t be raw and the meat was gritty and I wasn’t paying for it to be rudly told its 39 euros we paid and left! Such a shame that somewhere that used to be so nice has gone down hill like this !! Wont be going back !!

There 's an extensive menu of meat and fish dishes but I always have difficulty in getting past the first items on the menu, the tasty Tia Maria served with sweet potato chips. But the quality of meat and fish is exceptional so whatever you order it is always top quality. Good cover which means a starter is unnecessary and a variety of desserts. Wines here are excellent and they have a selection to suit all palates and pockets. There is a wine shop attached to the restaurant where they have regular tastings. Expect to pay around 25€ a person for cover, main, dessert, drinks and coffee. You will be well looked after by the staff. Thoroughly recommended.

An excellent restaurant, with a good atmosphere, lots of exposed bottles and beautifully prepared dishes. Baked cod and Azorean veal kebabs are two exponents, but there is much more. Half dose of cod 12.5 €, dose 18 €, kebabs 16 €. A must go!

Great... read more Been here a few times over 23 years. Great restaurant had the espetadas mista on this last occasion, so succulent, the bacalhao a muro was fantastic too. Great wines and the service was superb. I love leaving a restaurant at the end of the night and seeing the staff all sitting down having their well deserved food. Typical Portugal and I love it,
