Hostal Linares - Villanueva de Argano

I am currently staying here, but I thought I should write a review for the reference of other guests. This is a bar, restaurant and hostel located in Villanueva de Argano, a small rural town along the N-120 national road, 22 kilometers from the big city of Brugos. Problem is, the price is ridiculously expensive. Booking.com booked for 60 euros and paid 65.45 euros including taxes and Booking.com fees. It is more expensive than the budget hotels in Burgos Centro, but the facilities are a bigger problem. When asked for a Wi-Fi password, Hostal Linares clearly pops up, but it tells me to use free public Wi-Fi instead. However, when I connect the Wi-Fi foreu, it turns on late and doesn't work well, and then I just have to change seats. So, I protested to the owner, asking what he would do if Wi-Fi was not provided even to the room guests, and then he showed me a picture of the complex password on his cell phone and told me to take a picture and use it. However, for some reason, I entered it incorrectly, but I entered it more than ten times, and it kept saying it was an error, so I got tired and gave up without asking any more questions. There is a bathtub in the bathroom that allows half-body bathing, and as I was trying to relieve the fatigue of my body from walking the pilgrimage, I completely removed the stopper from the bathtub. Are you saying I should just shower over the bathtub? The idea of requiring guests to go through hardships, whether they have to put their toes in or sit on their buttocks to take a half-bath in the bathtub, is so outrageous and stingy that I'm at a loss for words. Is bathing water not included in the accommodation fee? If the owner reads this review and says that they will give you a water stopper if you ask for it, that is even worse. This is why they test and ridicule guests who pay higher fees than the standard of facilities. There is no explanation when checking in as to whether there is a hair dryer or not. They also removed the bathtub stopper, but there was no way they would have provided a dryer, so I didn't even ask. Even in the bathrooms of cheaper hostels in bigger cities, bath detergent is built into the wall so you can press it in, but there are two small, very thin pieces of low-quality soap, two small amounts of low-quality packaged shampoo, and a small amount that you don't want to use. Two packs of toothpaste are all. There is no soundproofing at all, as if the sound of a quiet conversation in the next room can be heard right through the partition, not through the wall, and the sound of people going up and down the stairs is transmitted as loud as it is. If it is a 30 euro hostel or a 15 euro private albergue, they will never say this or ask for it. It's good if you have it, but if you don't, you can use the soap you carry with you. Most pilgrims leaving Brugos and entering the Meseta Plain are looking for a single room by now because they are feeling unwell or need a good night's sleep, so they should not accept pilgrims at such a bad price. Isn't it a natural market principle that if you pay more, you should give in return? I can't help but be very disappointed with Booking.com, which recommended this hostel. Of course, you take full responsibility for your choice and decision, so I have no intention of blaming the people at the hostel. All you have to do is look carefully and make a choice. Actually, I was thinking of giving it one star, but the only language available was Spanish, and I couldn't speak Spanish, so even in the frustrating situation, the patience of the female staff member who answered the conversation through an interpreter and the surprisingly hot water in the bathroom gushing out made me decide to rate it two stars. In addition, the reputation of local Spanish travelers visiting this place may be good, but pilgrims looking for a single room due to the fatigue of the pilgrimage are advised to think carefully. Very expensive menu price for what they put. On top of that, if you are a carrier, they charge you less. (Perfect detail for the guild, but I don't think it's something to rub off on the rest) Ugly detail, you don't eat dessert, you ask for coffee and they send you to the bar. Rice with clams, it becomes boiled rice with clams. Of course, a perfect place to stop on the way, but one that I will avoid from now on. By the way, nothing to reproach the waitress, very nice and attentive.
