Entrepanes - Villa de Leiva

I think I just ate the best sandwich I've ever had in my life! Prepared with great care and attention and served with a smile in the smallest café ever.

We (tried) to visit twice. The first time we visited (a Thursday evening) the restaurant was closed despite online schedules stating it should be open. We thought this was a fluke and decided to (try) to visit again on Friday. On Friday evening, we arrived at 18:15. The restaurant was completely empty and we were turned away by the (only) person in the premises. She stated that the chefs left the restaurant and would (only) come back at approximately 19:30 (more than one hour later). She wouldn’t even serve us a beer because (she stated), she had no access to the cashier registry. We didn’t understand (and she couldn’t explain) why they were even open just to turn potential patrons away. We are not trying to visit this restaurant again. There are plenty of good (and more professional) restaurants near the main square of Villa de Leyva.
