Restaurante Cachalote

Very disappointed on our visit to Porto Moniz to find the restaurant was shut at 7pm so therefore not able to visit for our evening meal

We ate outside during the day, and ordered some beers and two sandwiches from the very grumpy looking waiter. The beers were as expected, cold and refreshing. That's as good as it got. After about 30 minutes of waiting for 2 steak sandwiches with multiple...other tables receiving their meals and other tables walking out without orders being taken, we were brought out a single sandwich. I will say it was very nice, as we wolfed it down due to having to leave. This stopped us from trying out the pools, very disappointing. Much like our visit to this restaurant.

We were advised to prebook a window seat and we had a perfect view of the crashing waves on the rocks. Ordered fish of the day which was parrot fish A good size and perfectly cooked. Served with seafood rice, boiled potatoes and salad. A...wide range of fish and meat dishes. Not to be missed. Highly recommended

The food was really good and it was very nice outside.The food was awesome and so was the view witch you could see from the table.

Fantastic restaurant in a great location.The food is really good and prices are low. The staff is super friendly. Nice atmosphere right next to the natural pools. We were there twice and will definitely come back for a third dinner. Highly recommended!
