Amazing place and amazing view. The food was top and price not that bad. We got octopus starters very nice with potatoes, some pastas and wine. At the end we paid around 50€ being in two View all feedback.
What Gabriel H doesn't like about Il Golfo:
This is the main and only restaurant in the Hotel Raito. Breakfast is served here and it is an excellent display of mostly cold selections. The view is spectacular, so it is worth getting down for breakfast at 7 am, when it opens. Dinner times vary, even though it is supposed to start at 7:30 pm. The menu is relatively limited, but the dishes are nicely prepared and presented. The wine list focuses on wines from the... View all feedback.
Some dishes and preparations new to me, all delicious. Lunch featured Sfogliatella stuffed with eggplant parmigiana and octopus sauce delectable flaky pastry shell with succulent filling. One dinner started with marvelous perfectly cooked moist spaghetti like pasta with light sauce topped with clams and mussels. I want to go back already!
View is very nice, but we were all alone on a Friday evening and the food was really not good, Gnocchi very very fishy, carpaccio was served on bread with some kind of mayonnaise and the meat was very fat... we skipped dessert and left hungry, portions were also not huge
Located in the Hotel Raito where we were staying for the week and the views are simply stunning and worth the trip alone. Lovely restaurant serving very good food but the menu is limited and there are no specials. The waiting staff are very friendly and the service was very good throughout. The wine list was quite pricy which was surprising as much of it was local so I would have thought this would have made it better value? Some of the translations on the English menu were very confusing, eg. the soup was described as 'vegetable and cereal ' which sounded awful but what they meant was ' vegetable and pulses ' and it was actually very good but there were other mis-translations which for a 5* hotel was surprising. It 's not cheap but the food was very good and beautifully presented
Good lunch with amazing view. Very friendly staff, food is good and not expensive for what they offer. We certainly will come back.
