Cross-country large French restaurant, lunch specialties, including soup/salat, dessert. Many specialties from France perfectly prepared and served in a cozy atmosphere, steaks, pizza also!

For something like 30 years or so, this restaurant is one of the great culinary experiences in Vientiane. And it's still, but not because everything on the menu is fantastic. The stars on Google are not Michelin stars. I have only since 2009 when I first visited Laos, and the owner, Jean-Pierre, will usually sit in the main room from the door and keep a vigilant eye on the things he has been doing for decades. The employees are experienced, well trained and attentive. The Crème de la crème of local and foreign dignitaries are like one that 's-who of cartridges past and present. This restaurant is a vientian establishment, and I mean it in the best sense. To quote from another Google review, take a piece of French-Ess-Chic while you can. Perfect things don't always stay perfect. The house red was beautiful, delicious grilled shrimps, fantastic pasta. We were a family of four without reservations and were treated like old friends. Dessert was limited to the night that we denied; I really wanted a cream brulee or cream caramel! Very cheap, and only a sweet experience from beginning to end, as always.

I haven 't been here for several years, although I should have come much more frequently. The food and service are excellent and with outdoor, indoor and upstairs seating it 's very comfortable. Servings are generous in size and delicious. On my last visit I had (half a chocolate soufle. Why half generous serving and my eyes bigger than my stomach 555 (in Lao the number 5 is pronounced 'ha ' . This restaurant will be a renewed regular haunt for me
