Contribute FeedbackNestled in a picturesque outdoor setting, Ovations offers an inviting pre-concert dining experience with its diverse buffet. While praised for the friendly service and lively atmosphere, diners note that the price, averaging $42 per person, can feel steep for buffet fare. Many dishes, such as the flavorful fried chicken and delectable brussels sprouts, shine, while others fall flat, drawing mixed reviews. Despite some inconsistencies in food quality, the relaxing ambiance and proximity to Wolf Trap make it a worthwhile stop for an enjoyable evening, though it may not be a frequent dining destination for everyone.
The buffet was spectacular and the service outstanding. Thank you Ovations for a wonderful pre-show experience!!
So overpriced for what you get. True, the food is better than it used to be, but still....Convenience is the big drawing card.
Full disclosure: I am not a big fan of buffets since I find it seems to be hard to maintain quality when food is mass-produced. In my opinion, the food was just average tasting at a high price point. Unfortunately, prime location often seems to be attached to mediocre-tasting food. I did enjoy some of the food offerings e.g. mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, and key lime pie. Our server was very friendly, but also must have been very busy as I would have liked to see her a bit more. Both my husband and I did enjoy the cocktails, and ultimately I would dine here again just for the convenience and the ability to have tasty cocktails so close to the Filene Center. The cocktails inside the Filene Center are not surprisingly very unimaginative. :
The food was amazing and there was so much variety! Everything was delicious! It’s a little pricy, but worth it. The staff was very welcoming and it was a great way to relax before the concert.
Ovations was convienent, the food OK. The brisket was dry and the pork fatty. For the price I expected better.
