My wife and I were visiting a dear friend (Maggie Villarreal) down the road from there and she bought us lunch there, absolutely the best cheeseburger I've ever had, and we are from Sugar Hill (Atlanta), definitely worth the drive when passing thru Victoria....will visit again..... What Tina Goodner doesn't like about Lonestar Tavern:
The food is okay, the service is always slow and random. The atmosphere is uncomfortable if you don't know anyone because they all just stare at you like you have a third arm. It's okay in a pinch if you don't feel like going all the way into town. View all feedback.
Food is over priced and not that good. Every time my husband and I have been there the bartenders are always distracted with other things then their customers.
Worked here, would not recommend it if you want food. My kitchen manager would smoke and come in, not wash his hands and prepare food. Nasty. Everyone also had a nasty attitude about customers. Spend your money where they appreciate you.
This place has gone downhill!! The skinny methhead behind the bar that never gave us the time of day- let a dog sit on the bar stools at the bar. Gross.
It's lots of fun here on karaoke nights! Love the hamburgers and cowboy bites. Restrooms are not always great.
