Best breakfast we had in a while. We stumbled on The Village by accident as we were walking and decided to try. Love the menus under the table glass covering. The smoked salmon was perfect. We highly recommend this gem of a place! View all feedback.
What Leo Koepp doesn't like about The Village Cafe & Deli:
I was there two months ago and ordered the Latkes. The presentation was lovely but they were extremely salty. I was anxious to give them another chance and went back today. I had the Challah French toast. The bread was dry and there was only a thin coating of egg batter. I really wanted to like this restaurant. The staff are pleasant and professional. Locals eat here super food and just a nice spot off the beaten track in a great little neighborhood..
The perfect breakfast place while staying in Oak Beach. Excellent and high quality breakfasts. Very friendly staff. During our week vacation, we only tried one other place, but were quick to return again the following day. A real gem!
A short walk from Willows Beach, this charming place is constantly packed with locals, always a good sign. The menu is quite extensive and all ingredients are organic, sustainably- and locally-sourced. The food is consistently good, served quickly and with a smile. I particularly recommend the Eggs Benny - there are sevearl imaginative options - served on house-made gluten-free latkes rather than the traditional English muffins (also available). If you like to spice things up, the Shakshousa is fantastic; the sauce is house-made. The manager, Aaron Cho, is constantly on the move and incredibly attentative. For those headed to the beach, there are extensive take-out options available.
I went there for brunch with a friend. The service was friendly and there are lots of options on the menu. I like that the menu isn't run of the mill. I had eggs Shashuka, middle eastern spices, and it was delicious.
My husband and I happened upon this great restaurant while exploring east Victoria. We were able to sit out on the patio where our dog was welcomed and given a bowl of water. The staff was super friendly and the locally sourced ingredients made both our meals top notch! I especially loved the spinach/quinoa salad - and I don't like salad. ;)
