It was a nice evening weather-wise, but all the outdoor seating was already taken. We asked if we should seat ourselves indoors and were told yes (odd smell indoors). After making ourselves comfortable, we were told to move because a large party was coming in and our table was needed to accommodate them. We found another table and placed our order. We amused ourselves with Trivia cards, but couldn't find a set that w... View all feedback.
I really enjoyed the delicious food at this restaurant! The coriander chicken soup was fantastic, but the side dish that came with my veggie burger was a bit small. I regret not ordering a full bowl because I finished it in just three spoonfuls! I will have to try to recreate it at home until I can come back. The patio is dog friendly and cozy in the evening, making it a perfect spot to visit with my significant other when we come to Victoria in the future.Overall, it's an awesome little restaurant.
I recently tried the breakfast sandwich at this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was the worst meal I have ever been served. The fries that came with it were bland and tasted like pure starch. I would suggest the restaurant invest in some sort of sauce or mayonnaise to improve the flavor. The service was slow and unfriendly, and the restaurant had a unpleasant odor, possibly due to the old building or the bad food. I hope the restaurant finds a new owner soon, as the neighborhood deserves better. I would be happy to offer management advice or IT support. Overall, the patio is nice for enjoying a beer, but I would recommend skipping the food.
We had dinner at this restaurant last night and had a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptional, receiving a perfect 5 out of 5 rating for being very helpful and attentive. The food also received a 5 out of 5 rating, as the kitchen staff clearly know what they are doing. The burgers had delicious flavors and the portion sizes were just right for us. The prices were also a 5 out of 5, as we found them to be very comparable to other places back home. Thank you for a very enjoyable dinner, we will definitely be returning in the future.
The Bent Mast has really cool curb appeal, plus the ghost stories to lure you in. We visited this past Friday evening. I was excited to visit this restaurant while in Victoria but sadly disappointed. Upon walking in, the inside reeked of urine. I can'tbelieve more people don't address this in the reviews! The smell was absolutely horrible. We sat down hoping an area would beless smelly (or I'd get use to it after awhile) but it was nauseating and so we asked the waitress to move outside afterordering food but she seemed irritated by the question and confused when I brought up a bad smell. The outside tables had nochairs put out so we had to get our own and dry them with our own clothing. No one helped or seated us. We sat down and waitedfor our food to be brought out. The food came out in reasonable time. The pecans in my salad were burnt. Otherwise the food wasokay. No one during our whole meal came to ask us how things tasted or if we needed anything else food or drink wise. We satwith our finished plates and no one came to collect them or bring the bill. My partner finally had to go inside to chase downsomeone to pay. I could see how this place would be appealing for drinks or an outside brunch, but otherwise I would notrecommend
