McDonald's - Victoria

Thankfully visited early in the morning before the various street people commented upon in earlier reviews seem to have showed. Food took quite awhile to be ready.

You do not go into this restaurant for food. The people that frequent this place r scary street people. Some of them are mentally unstable. It's scary even in daytime. I would not even attempt this place. Just run away as fast as possible.

Most people only see the superficial surface. They don't know the back story. The downtown location of this McDonald's is very near the areas that the drug addicts, mental cases, street bums, and other degenerates like to loiter around. This situation leads to many problems for normal customers who have to suffer the hassles along with the over worked staff. The service and food itself is no different than any other McDonald's. The previous franchise owner loss his business to the corporation because of the 2014-2015 Temporary Foreign Worker scandal that set off a firestorm witch hunt that spread across Canada to various industries and companies (stealing jobs from Canadians, pay discrepancies, etc). was started from this location. It was all over the various media. The staff service quality and food product quality did seem to improve a little after McDonald's took back direct corporate control of this restaurant from the franchisee. The day time environment is much better than the night time environment which is Zombieland. They need security guards, especially at night, to keep a tight control on things.

Busy weekend in Victoria and this was the go too place to get a couple of tasty McFlurry's at a great price. Any of the other local ice cream shops had a long line up and costs twice as much. This location has additional seating upstairs, which is much quieter to enjoy your meal.
