Contribute FeedbackMixed reviews have been circulating about Clive's lounge, ranging from disappointment in the quality of food and drink to praise for the extensive cocktail selection and knowledgeable bartenders. The venue itself has been described as dated and needing a facelift, though some enjoyed the retro chic vibe. Overall, service appears to be hit or miss, with some customers feeling neglected and others receiving friendly and prompt attention. Despite the varied feedback, there seems to be consensus that Clive's lounge is a destination worth experiencing for its unique offerings and potential for a great night out.
Great place to enjoy a well-made cocktail, the employees were very attentive and clive’s had a great mood. there is something for everyone on the menu.
We didn't even get to see the proper lounge inside because they were limited to patio service only. That being said the cocktails suggested by our server were top shelf, creative and excellent. Clearly there is a reason this unassuming spot in a pretty ordinary...hotel gets such rare reviews.
We loved this on site dining room; the food was always tasty (the chef's soup of the day was homemade and yummy). The staff were always friendly and helpful; very welcoming.
We were a few days in the hotel. this bar is an experience. the personal is so attentive. the chemists behind the bar create the most beautiful releases. trust them and they will surprise them! the menu is limited, but very...nice best ingredients and very tasty. early as this place is occupied. highly recommended!
We were staying at The Empress and wanted a quiet place to relax with a drink. Sadly, The Empress offers only the standard, noisy bar with unnecessary live music. We wandered up the street to Clive's, which was perfect low ceiling, no television, comfortable...chairs, and great drinks. It was lively about 1/3 full and lots of conversations going but we could still talk at conversational levels.
