Vezelay hospitality at it's best. We had two Caesar Salads plus drinks and coffee, all served by Sam, who had perfect English, was witty, efficient and a pleasure to talk to. This restaurant is just outside the bottom of the village and it was everything...we were looking for, having had a less than average experience elsewhere in the village. The total bill was 53 euros and we would definitely return. View all feedback.
What Noël Lebrun doesn't like about Le Relais du Morvan:
Ordered boeuf bourguignon, got terrine! Dessert came with spray cream and partners poivre au vin tasted fermented. When challenged we were told it was our fault and no attempt made to apologise. Frankly very disappointing. View all feedback.
We went to this place after waiting at a different restaurant (with a lovely terrace) for over 30 mins to give our order and being ignored by the staff, even the kids had a go at asking if we could give our order!Although Le Relais du Morvan was completely full when we turned up the staff made every effort to look after us, the comparison with the other place was night-and-day. They took our order while we were waiting for a table and the food was served up very quickly once we were seated. Since the menu looked quite basic I wasn't expecting anything special but the food turned up looking amazing and tasted even better. The staff were very pleasant and appeared to be enjoying working here. All in all we had a very nice evening and I would highly recommend this place!
