Ventura County Fair

I am thrilled that the fair is back! While I miss the nightly fireworks, it was wonderful to see familiar faces again. Some must-see attractions at the fair include the Gem and Mineral Building, Wolfe Gems, and Jewelry. They offer a wide range of prices, so there is something for everyone, whether you have a few dollars to spend or simply love gems and minerals. Don't miss out on the delicious homemade rolls from Old West Cinnamon Rolls - you can enjoy them warm on the spot or take a 6-pack home with your favorite topping. Save room for treats like chocolate-covered strawberries, cheesecake caramel candied apples, and even chocolate-dipped bacon from The Sweet Stop Sweet Shop in the food court. Another highlight is Kathie's Custom Jewelry, located next to the Youth Expo, where you can find stunning sea glass jewelry and custom pieces made with sea glass and shells from the ocean. Supporting California small businesses is always a great idea! Before you leave, be sure to capture some fair memories with photographs. Ventura County Fair is truly the best fair in the tri-counties, and I am so glad it's back with free concerts and fun games like balloon popping with hacky sacks. Requesting food donations in exchange for tickets, and then telling some individuals that their tickets are only valid for the following week, is deceitful.

Jean-Claude, Ron, and the RH team worked professionally and diligently for four days to repair and complete an unfinished shed in my backyard. I bought my home a year ago and the shed was unfinished with no siding, minimal paint, and missing boards. The roof had started to deteriorate, with some shingles coming loose due to poor workmanship. After receiving quotes from several companies, I chose RH based on their reviews and responsiveness. Although they were not the cheapest option, they were very responsive to my requests during the finalization of the Statement of Work (SOW) and for specific paints/colors. I would not hesitate to work with them again for future projects. I am extremely pleased with the final outcome. 5/5 stars.

I offered to take photos at the monthly gatherings for this group, and I must say they are the most inviting bunch of individuals. They are dedicated to offering support and understanding, and they truly make you feel like part of their family.

The quality of The Measury has been declining every year. This year, the maintenance was terrible. Fireworks now only happen 4 out of the 12 nights. The addition of metal detectors at the entrance, a tradition that started a few years ago, doesn't make us want to come back. We used to go every year, but this year we will only go once. We may not even go at all next year, as our experience seems to be diminishing.
