I would like to tell them almost nothing about this place that narrows behind a zaun and a neat, at the far end of the railway station in ventimiglia, just over centrale 2000. Here the local, especially the workers, come to lunch at lunchtime. The...will depend on the numerous tourist traps in this border town where spaghetti (spaghetti bolognese proliferates and menu touristico' are spaghetti everywhere. genuine Italians do not eat what is served in Italian restaurants in Britain and the usa, where everything is limited to anglophone expectations. here you will find hearty, unpretentious home cooking, which is seasonal (often with own home vegetables) and genuine regional dishes. the 12-Euro-Two-course menu is a steal. I had an excellent season minenstrone, thick with seasonal brasilianes (and nothing like the watery pasta-laden slop found in very Great Britain); followed by a kalbs escalope in white wine sauce with carrots roasted in garlic and rosmarin. my friend had small noodles of gnochitini in a Fontina cheese sauce; followed by squid cooked in a sublime brew. if they want a desert, there were many homemade decisions. next to the lunch menu there are many other seasonal options. this has been a family business that reflects in the quality of the service sauce and, because the tourist has not yet found it in large numbers, they feel as if they are in italia eating with italians (and perhaps some French visitors from the whole border who have a good nose for this type of space) without some loud know-all of it's complaining about it!
It was a beautiful evening in a welcoming place. They could breathe a friendly atmosphere. very reasonable prices and usually a great pasta!
