What HJteK doesn't like about D'avalos Pizzeria:
Located on 'the other side ' of the VENOSA Castle, you 'd never fund it if locals wouldn 't point you in the right direction. They have great outdoor seating, overlooking the back of the castle. Inside it 's decorated in a modern style. Modern Italian that is. Or rather, modern small town Italian. This modernity is not reflected in the food. Actually most locals come here for the pizzas. Very poor food, the antipasta was with ansjovis from the jar, the scampi were also not fresh. The tuna was overcookzd. We asked for one primo piatti mare and after that a primi piatti de la Terre. They brought it together, it was kept in the oven and brought back after 25 minutes; dry as hel!!!! Please avoid this restaurant
Kind personel. I had a salat which was a bit ordinary, and my husband's pizza was good. Would not make an extra mile for it, but if nearby it's a good place.
Beautiful place from the aesthetic point of view. simple but really excellent dishes. very courteous staff. excellent value for money.

Cozy place, very short times for dinner, great everything. I can say that I felt at home, a piece of mussels and pasta with clams and superlative bottargas as in Sicily! delicious pizza with the specialties of luca.
