Travelling along I-40 is very lonely, but this place make me not feeling lonely any more. Once I step my foot in the door smell and feel at home. Staffs are friendly, foods are great. After speaking to staff there, they said it's under new management and everything is much better than the old owner. Definitely will stop by again whenever I have chance. View all feedback.
What Randy P doesn't like about Indian Dhaba:
Stopped at the pilot to get a shower and some Indian food, because how many times do you get the chance to grab good Indian food on the road!? Plus it's open 7 days a week until 11pm!!! Except we called to place an order at 10:20 and they are closed!?! Guess we won't be eating Indian food tonight..... bummer! View all feedback.

I came through Vega Tx last May and stopped for gas and went into the gas station to use the bathroom. I had seen the grand opening sign outside for this Indian restaurant so I peeked into this kind of shabby looking restaurant just to look and a guy approached me and asked if I wanted to eat so I figured why not. Bottom line it was all delicious. It's an Indian buffet with around 10-15 items and all good. Friendly Great service as well. Truly a hidden gem in a most improbable place. I'm definitely making it a point to come through this way again.
The food and the hospitality are second to none. We had the chicken tikka masala and bhindi masala and it doesn't get better than this. It's true, you can't judge a book by its cover. We found a true gem!!!
Hidden away in a gas station, who would guess that this humble little back room restaurant could hold such deliciousness. My husband, that's who. Don't let the Krispy Krunchy Chicken sign fool you, this restaurant is 100% authentic Indian food. We arrived at 3:00 on a random Sunday afternoon and we were greeted by a full lunch buffet, fresh roti, and an amazing pickle hot sauce served at the table. The food isn't too hot, but you can add to your taste if you want to turn up the heat. Well worth passing all the fast food in Amarillo and holding out for truly home-made, from scratch Indian cuisine. PS- don't sleep on the gulab jamun.
The food is amazing! Do not judge this place by its looks nor by the fact it is within a truck stop! The people are friendly and welcoming. They have a buffet during the middle of the day, which makes it easier to try different foods for one cost. I love the masala, but my husband loves their chili chicken and lentils. I love the variety of flavors they have to offer. It's a must try!
