Koganei Japanese Restaurant - Vaughan

Atmosphere and food are excellent. Ample parking. Lots of menu options. The customer service is great/warm, though sometimes could be a tad slow. Pricing is a little high, but hey, the sushi is always good quality, and I've been going here right from day 1 in 2002 as a child.

I had a disappointing experience at this Japanese restaurant. The service was truly awful, as they rushed us to order when the kitchen was still open and were unfriendly throughout. To make matters worse, they missed one of our orders, and when we asked them to bring it, they flatly refused and were extremely rude about it. On top of that, all the items were ridiculously overpriced. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I've tried this place a couple of times and enjoyed the quality of the food, though it's on the expensive side.Today they sent the food via a delivery app smelling and tasting like cigarette smoke! Not the external bag, but the actual food pieces inside the container, so I can't even consider that the delivery driver smoked while delivering the order.This is disgusting and unacceptable. I don't know if someone is smoking in the food preparation area or not cleaning hands after smoking and then preparing food. Either way complete turn off and I will not buy food from here again.

Simply the best sushi I've ever had in my life! The flavor is fresh and delicious, I'd recommend the Roca shrimp as well and the red bean paste ice cream for dessert. Nice staff and overall a great experience:

Daniel and his staff are excellent! They really go out of their way to take care of the customers! The food and popularity of this restaurant are out of this world. Must go!
