The service was quick and polite, and the food arrived prom... read more We visited Restoran Domenico in early July with a group of 10 people and did not have a reservation. The service was quick and polite, and the food arrived promptly and was delicious, especially the pizzas. They even had a high chair available for our one-year-old. Overall, we rated the service, food, and atmosphere a perfect 5 out of 5.

It was the worst wait... read more Food is average at best, the only thing that was a little over average was the pizza which was really good. Oh, but the service, horrible. It was the worst waiter we’ve encountered in quite a while. He thought that he knew English, and was so cocky when we asked about a sauce that had some local name, what kind of sauce is it (it was after ketchup, mayo and barbecue) and he replied “wild animal”. Well we are not connoisseurs, and asked again “wild animals?”, like a gravy or idk, and his reply was “Amigo, do you know any English? WILD ANIMAL” . That was the last drop for the night.

Only one thing I have to say is that we had a little too much of ketchup in our burgers which was stronger than other tastes so 75% of the burger tasted like pure ketchup other 25% tasted splendidly. I would recommend to anybody hungry going by.

I ordered the cuttlefish black risotto, which was incredibly flavorful and indulgent. I paired it with a half liter of wine and a delicious salad. I found the prices to be very reasonable compared to other places in Zagreb. Highly recommend!

The food is delicious and reasonably priced, although it is not a full a la carte menu. The entrance can be easy to miss, so watch out for the narrow passage. At the moment of the visit of April 2021) you could only stay on the terrace, but the rear terrace you go through the restaurant to get it) was nice. They are surrounded by high trees and can see the steep part of a nearby church. There is a vegan menu 2 burgers and 2 pasta dishes, hopefully they expand it in the future) and I tried the next stage burgers that was amazing! They paired all the flavors really well and I was full after that. The curry sauce is surprisingly really light, a bit sour, even what I like and fresh cucumber also adds the freshness that contrasts the heavy burger. All in all a great place to eat lunch in the city centre!

The back terrace, accessible through the restaurant, had a beautiful view of tall trees and the steeple of a nearby church. The vegan menu offered 2 burger options and 2 pasta dishes, which I hope will be expanded in the future. I tried the next level burger and it was delicious! The flavors were well-balanced and I was pleasantly full after finishing it. The curry sauce was surprisingly light and a bit tangy, which I enjoyed, and the fresh cucumber added a nice contrast to the rich burger. Overall, this restaurant is a great spot for lunch in the city center.
