Contribute FeedbackThai Basil is a family-owned Thai restaurant with excellent food and service. The knowledgeable staff can help with vegan options, although some dishes were found to be lacking in flavor. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, despite being small and sometimes unclean. Pricing can be a bit high, but the portions are generous. Overall, it's a great spot for a tasty meal, especially for vegetarians. It's recommended for those looking for a casual dining experience where the value of the food outweighs any minor shortcomings.
It’s so reasonable and tasty! It cost only $19 for lunch. Dine-in space is not that big, but there is some seats at patio as well. I wish I live nearby. I recommend it!
Khob khun ka ขอบคุณค่ะ !!A vibrant, quaint yet traditional upbeat home-cooking style Thai joint is a great go-to option slap bang in the middle of Davie and Thurlow, wiith an easy and efficient ordering service. I was impressed at how cheap this joint was, especially due to its location with pretty fresh tasting and delicious in plentiful portion! Am absolute gem of a deal in their lunch menu which has a good selection of dishes and caters well for veggies.I got a spicy Pad See Ew ผัดซีอิ๊ว which was very yummy, authentically flavorsome, filling and you can grab yourself some spicy sauces, condiments and extra peanuts. It was just missing a bit of zest that gave it that really fragrant thai style flavor which always sends you back to reminiscing of good old days backpacking beautiful Thailand.I was slightly disappointed with the amount of prawns (4) from an extra protein portion, but this is by far one of the best value for money and taste fast food joints around this part of town.Support local businesses!
Do NOT order the pla sam rod #59 . barely any fish and all breading! Just that one entree took 40 min, so expect LONG waits as it is a tiny restaurant w lots of delivery/takeout orders. No restrooms and minimal seating. Only pro is cheap prices; you get what you pay for.
Used to love this place. Haven’t been there for a year and I got highly disappointed. Spring roll in combo is made with 95% of rice vermicelli. The pad Thai was dry, even a pad Thai from Walmart would have been more tasty. Curries are still good !
Red curry and the tom yum koong was good, friendly staffs but the rice was dry. Overall 8/10
