Passion8 Dessert Cafe - Vancouver

Passion8 had yummy desserts with large portions perfect for sharing. There was lots of seating available. However, we did find that the prices were a little high for what we were getting. Additionally, parking around the area was hard to find.Food: 4/5

My friends and I frequently visit this place, which is one of my favourite cafes in Vancouver.Also all of the staff are friendly, and the store is always clean. Especially, their fruit(mango and strawberry as shown in the pictures) bingsu is fresh and delicious. It's made with milk, making it smooth and rich in flavor. The bingsu is generously topped with various ingredients, and every time I order and eat it, it brings me happiness.

Quality has gone down a lot since it first opened a few years ago. The ice texture is too watery. We could not even finish our order because it was just too sweet and watery.Food: 1/5

The picture on their menu is not up to date. Was a bit disappointed when they placed 2 marshmallow on top instead of the orange slice as shown on the menu.Food: 3/5

Still tastes good but way smaller than it used to be. The large size now is like the small size before. Not sure how big the small sized one is now.Edit @owner: Yes the bowl sizes are still the same, but the amount of shaved ice is not the same as it used to be. The amount of shaved ice used to create a large dome above the bowl line (about 3 inches above the bowl line). Now the amount of shaved ice above the bowl line is less than one inch. I used to go here a lot before the pandemic so I know how big you guys used to make them. You can look at the images in google reviews from a year ago and see how big they were compared to recent images. They are not the same. In addition, you guys stopped adding the orange slice topping (which is the best part). There is now a boring pretzel topping. The cheesecake chunks are also very small compared to before (used to be 1.5 inches chunks, now they’re 1 cm chunks).I understand that the pandemic caused many businesses to struggle, but please do not drop the quality of your products whilst increasing the price. This place used to be my go-to shaved ice spot, but I will not return until the quality returns.
