What Maryse Thompson doesn't like about Ken's Chinese:
Let's get the really good stuff out of the way first: The portions are absolutely enormous at a reasonable price and the wontons were superlative. The rest is not that good:- Dirty, messy, icky and totally worn out place.- Table greasy and sticky.- Red chili flake floating in the water glass.- Paradoxical service in that some of us got our meals well before others. The two wonton soups were served almost 10 minutes a... View all feedback. What Roscoe Howe likes about Ken's Chinese:

read moreKen's Chinese Restaurant in Vancouver is known for its enormous portions at a reasonable price, with the wontons being particularly noteworthy. However, the overall experience falls short, with a dirty and worn-out atmosphere, greasy tables, and unimpressive service. Some dishes were good, like the wonton soup, while others were just passable. The confusion over the menu and language barriers added to the disappointment for some diners. Despite being famous for their Golden Dungeness Crab and Hot Pot Lobster Konyaku Fun See, some aspects of the food fell short, like overly salty spare ribs and soup. Overall, while Ken's Chinese Restaurant may offer a variety of dishes at an affordable price, the overall experience may not be worth the visit for those seeking a high-quality dining experience in Vancouver.
Good, straight forward Chinese restaurant. To me, Ken 's is the perfect place to share a few Cantonese dishes family style in a relaxed environment.
