Camping nearby, decided to visit for a drink and possibly food. Made very welcome as soon as we walked in the door. Had dinner fantastic Thai food, served with a smile and very friendly waitress. Great banter at the bar, with Tommy and other patrons. Will happily go out of my way to re visit. Take the ‘mick’ and you will get plenty back!!! View all feedback.
What bluefoyle doesn't like about The Eight Bells:
From the outside a nice looking country pub with good outdoor area.Inside was small and old world if not a bit dark in the bar .The restaurant is also small and a bit cramped and needs a bit if an update as looks a bit tired, the furniture is not the most comfortable, I found the chairs a bit too low for the tables and to upright to be comfortable and they look a bit tatty and dated. The food was Thai only which is a... Cute little pub with authentic Thai food. The owner is very welcoming, the staff are polite and great. We will definitely return.
Visited with my wife on the spur of the moment and decided to try the 8 Bells which I had been recommended. We had the set meal for 2 which was excellent. Will definitely use this restaurant again. Nice cosy bar and good food and drink at reasonable prices.
A cosy, traditional pub with friendly service. My husband and I are big fans of Thai food and we were totally blown away- this was the best we've had outside of Thailand. Outstanding! Very good value. Can't wait to return.
Myself and a work colleague stopped here on our way home from working away and it did not disappoint. The Thai food was sensational and you receive a good portion of the food. The pricing is very decent and we were made to feel very welcome by the owners. Will definitely be stopping by again when driving by!
This place is in a lovely little village pub. All very welcoming and the food is amazing! We will be back and I cannot recommend this place enough. Very reasonably priced too!
