What maeve beecher dislikes about Millbrook Fish And Chips:
Of course they forgot half our order when we picked it up? Thank god we checked before driving off and they were about to close as well. Everything is battered SO HEAVILY that it’s literally doughy like a raw doughnut or something inside! Also the curry sauce is very lumpy and the mushy peas are terrible. The battered sausage has a bad aftertaste. Fish and portions weren’t bad and chips were great but the battering w... View all feedback.

Millbrook Fish and Chips has quickly made its mark as a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic British fare. Renowned for its fresh, crisp batter and perfectly cooked chips, the restaurant strikes the perfect balance between quality and quantity. While some customers have noted issues with takeaway orders and certain menu items, the consensus remains positive; dishes like battered halloumi and gluten-free options have won fans. Despite occasional long queues, the dedicated staff and inviting ambiance make the wait worthwhile. For those in pursuit of exceptional fish and chips, this spot is a culinary gem that shouldn’t be missed.

These are definitely the best fish and chips in the area. Always cooked fresh and always crispy. Give the battered halloumi and battered saveloys a try too for a naughty treat. You won’t be disappointed!
As a northerner who appreciates good fish and chips I reckon this is by far the best in the UK south of Leeds. Well done

It's great that they offer gluten-free options all week. My wife enjoyed her meal. It's a shame they only accept cash, but it's good value for the quality of the food. We will definitely return soon.
I cannot recommend Millbrook Fish and Chips due to the long queues. However, I must say the haddock, chips, mushy peas, and steak and onion pie were all perfectly cooked and delicious. The food was freshly made and the team is doing a great job. Keep it up!
