The Wheelhouse Bar And Restaurant

Had a nice time to get a late dinner here a few nights ago. We were looking for an indoor table service dinner with local seafood, so we decided to try these unlikely candidates. It was obvious as soon as we were in the restaurant was understated, as there were only two servers, and we had to wait about 20 minutes to sit at empty tables. But the service was phenomenal! Our server, Corinna, was wonderful and made sure everything was done. It was just an attentive eye to see the staff working as fast as possible, and then a little patience from us. The food was great (we had Halibut Creole), drinks cheap and the view...! In any case, will come back.

Great Alaskan beers on tap and readily available, generally fast service, better than normal food (try the calamari or scallops from the appetizer menu), and genuinely nice staff... Plus an amazing view of the harbor and mountains, especially around sunset.

Our window showed a beautiful view of the port and the mountains. Our waitress was very nice and very on top of things. The food was phenomenal. It was a bit pricey, but I'd still go back.

We had a wonderful dinner here. The black halibut was very good and the service was excellent. Our window seat had a relaxing view of the marina and the mountains.
