it is difficult to get out of the Fondue/raclette/tartiflette trio at val. Finally, a different restaurant and not out of price. in the old val, a very warm restaurant by its decor. typical Italian dishes, absolutely delicious generous portions. reasonable prices, you're in val. Don’t forget to book, or even several days in advance. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Casa Scara:
He fears this restaurant and we are very badly received. It is funny as soon as there is a negative opinion, hop as by magic there are many very positive and false opinions that appear. How much does it cost? View all feedback.
Very good address! Best milanaise I ate so far, and the tiramisu is excellent! The service is top and the very welcoming staff! It deserves 5/5
Very well: two beautiful evenings: service and high quality meals.
The service was ok and attentive for such place, hence the one star. I also felt sorry for the waiting staff that may have to eat here occasionally so they deserve that star. The food: Osso-buco: didn’t resemble osso-buco classical sliced shape. It was a lump of chewy beef shin with bone, possibly previously frozen, served in the same industrial tomato sauce with lots of preservatives out of a plastic bucket that other foods were served with. Veal escalope: dry, overcooked and chewy. The batter was added days before possibly and it came off with a touch of a fork. The size matched the XL size mentioned on the menu though. The spaghetti that came with it had the same tomato sauce mentioned above. French fries: out of frozen plastic bag and put in the oven for 10 min. Supermarket quality, yet the owners had the audacity to charge close to €10 for it. Unbelievable! Bread: we visited on a Thursday night. The bread would have been fresh on the Wednesday of the week before. Seems the economy is set on increasing the profit margin by lowering the quality of the ingredients and time in preparing the foods. Not sure how many people will return and how much they can go one with first time clients. Some may have “stiff upper lips” and not complain, but the old thought that those do not understand good food is too old now!

This is the time I come to this Italian restaurant of val d’Isère, service and dishes are irreproachable! quantities are generous, good value for money.
