Very good food and service. We used happy hour and had the plums duck and steak with a chocolate martini and Manhattan. Beverages were $5 and food was 25 (I think). Very few people who were nice. No reservations or additional fees. It was a diving bar with personality, but surprisingly child-friendly. In the basement of the street level. View all feedback.
What Y A doesn't like about The George Pub:
One star, since zero isn't an option. The wings here are a joke... I used to be the wingman before a clown came along! I've eaten and cooked hundreds of pounds of wings, and I would... View all feedback.
I wouldn't recommend going there if you're not a local! The bartender, who had a nose piercing, was incredibly disrespectful and completely ignored my husband and me while we were trying to order drinks. We were attending an after-party for a wedding, and after several attempts to get his attention, he ignored us once again. When we confronted him about the fact that he was serving his friends and overlooking us, he had us kicked out. Overall, I strongly advise against visiting this place.
This restaurant is a fantastic hidden gem that stands out among the manufactured and overpriced places. The staff, food, and atmosphere are all excellent.
The place was just what we were looking for—a casual spot to enjoy some beers, pub food, and a laid-back crowd. It wasn't trendy or upscale like Vail, nor was it overpriced; just good, straightforward American food.

You call that the dipping bar of Vail, or at least I heard that a few times. Does not really represent what I call a diving bar, but the atmosphere was cool at a Thursday night, very friendly staff and the food / beer was delicious. I recommend the duck. Yes, the duck served at a “Dive” bar in Vail:
