Pros: Location of the hotel was very good, public areas were cozy, breakfast was good and they had many options to choose from. The hotel room bathroom was decently modern and very clean. Good for the price. Cons: The old outdated look of me and my friend's hotel rooms. It looked dull, dark, depressing and something from the the 70's or 80's. My room also had an old smell to it. Also coming from a Nordic country the full floor carpets were a con for me. Only the bathroom looked decently modern. However we pretty much only slept in the rooms so in the end it didn't bother that much but they most certainly should renovate the rooms. Overall good for the price but don't expect anything glamorous from the single rooms.

The room was very nice, with some minor issues. The interior design is more cute than functional: 1) Our room had clothing hangers on one wall as decoration, only one of which could actually be used to hang anything due to the way they hung on the wall. Very odd decor choice, especially since there wasn 't that much room for clothes to begin with. 2) There were no drawers in the room, so for example no place by the bed to put your earplugs, medication, diary, chapstick whatever you might want nearby, except on top of the small stool serving as a bedside table. We ended up storing things in backpacks under the bed since so little fit on the stool, and besides, some things you just like to store out of sight. 3) The mini fridge is jam packed. That wouldn 't be such a big issue if it weren 't for the fact that at least in our room, you couldn 't get properly cold tap water. Thankfully the ice machine was close by in the hallway, because we surely made the trip multiple times a day. Lukewarm water on a hot summer day just isn 't it. A few small things I wish had been taken care of: our room was missing the bathtub 's plug. We notified the desk clerk, and got another plug for the sink, which we already had. Finally, the tub 's plug was found under the tub. This could 've been avoided, had the room been properly checked to be ready. The trash bags were never put properly in the bins and had to be redone. A very small thing that probably just goes to show that the cleaning staff is in way too much of a hurry to do things properly, since they also hadn 't vacuumed under the bed (which we wouldn 't had noticed if we hadn 't had to store things there). The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, *but* if you have any food restrictions you 'll need to know that nothing is labeled clearly. Those who can eat anything probably wouldn 't even notice, but for many, smoothie just isn 't enough information. The staff was helpful with providing information, *if* you managed to catch one they seemed to be in such a rush all of the time that it was hard to get an excuse me in. That is obviously not their fault, they were most likely just understaffed. The location is just perfect, and the street is beautiful. We were on the third floor and our room had lovely big windows we kept open most of the time. From our window we could see the sea in one direction, and in the other it was just behind one building. Great location in a great town!

Really nice hotel, don’t use the garage just park 200 m next to the hotel parking space it’s much cheaper there. The Jacuzzi could be a little bit warmer, after a long day in nature I was looking forward to hop into a hot Jacuzzi I was a little disappointed by the coldness so I took a hot shower instead even the sauna was a little bit too cold in my opinion. The rooms are really clean they change your towels every day if you wish I know it’s really bad for the environment but sometimes it’s necessary. I know you can’t open the windows here I just want to say it because some people get disappointed, get anxiety because they can’t get some fresh air into the room. And for the breakfast you have to be really early because it ends at 10 so you’re not so hungry so you can’t eat so much. Usually the breakfast is included in the price, and they have a really nice buffet, they even have pancakes! so in total it was really nice day in Västervik.

Very nice hotel right in the center of Västervik. We had one of the best rooms with plenty of space. Very good breakfast and an excellent restaurant with the speciality Black Rock Grill. On a very hot stone we fried meat and veggies at the table. Garage (not included) in the basement of the building with elevators to take you up to your floor. Nice, friendly and helpful staff.

Top notch! Beautifully located, easy enough to find by car yet still within walking distance to the town centre. Friendly helpful staff and delicious food (lunch). Lounge area spacious with loads of greenery to still give a cozy feeling. Breakfast buffet plentiful and clean, they kept an eye on bowls and trays so nothing ran out.
