Went for the York Heritage Winter Train ride and this restaurant is right across the street. The service, the food, everything is just amazing. We were a group of 7 people including 3 kids and we ordered their burgers, ribs, fries, chicken wings from kids menu. Everything including the service, food, amenities, were all great. The toilets were nice and tidy as well. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant and... View all feedback.
What Lorraine S doesn't like about Uxbridge Smokehouse:
I was disappointed that our food was so bad. The Mac and cheese was a flour milk sauce with some cold cheese sprinkled in and there was a brown hair in it. The onion rings tasted frozen and the bbq sauce for the brisket was awful, it tasted like salad dressing. They charged us extra for everything and yet it was so bad. Everything tasted like it had been sitting around and didn't taste good. We won't be coming back h... View all feedback.
10 out of 10, and they don't have their liquor licence yet! Had the platter for 2 to see what we liked best. Everything was fantastic ribs, brisket, wings, sausage, pulled pork, brisket chili and their special house hot sauce. We will be back soon to work our way through the menu, starting with the Uxburger.
Had an excellent meal there with my family yesterday. The brisket was amazing! My daughter loved her burger. Can’t wait to try everything else on the menu.
Wings were delicious we had take out .Staff very friendly
When I visit a town, I always look for reviews from the local community. This place didn't disappoint. This is an old Salvation Army church converted into a diner, specializing in a smoked menu. The inside was very cosy and the tables were well spaced for social distancing. We desided to try something other than ribs and were not disappointed. Both the pulled pork sandwich and the Delux-Bridge hamburger were very well prepared with a faint hint of smoke coming through in the flavor. If I'm ever back this way, I'm definitely stopping in here again.
Stopped in for a meal here on my birthday, as it 's off season the taste of smoked food is something I can only get while dining out, as I prefer to smoke my own food at home. Had the 'special ' burger, the name escapes me right now, but a photo is attached with me and the burger. It was two patties, smoked bacon and cheese, as well went with the side of Mac and cheese and a side of pulled pork to mix in with it. Although fresh and filling, I felt the smoke taste was a tad lacking, not that the burger was advertised smoked, but I think I recall the bacon being. As well as the pulled pork. Now I don 't know if this is because I smoke heavy flavours that it felt light to me, or of this was actually light on the smoke. Added both the homemade bbq sauce and homemade hot sauce to the meals, both were delicious. There was enough fire in the hot sauce to tantalize my tastebuds and the bbq sauce was sweet and delightful. This is the same owner as one in port perry that I have visited and not yet reviewed, so I know the brisket is good, and will definitely return for a brisket sandwich one day. Maybe that will entice me to change my rating from 4 to 5. It was a country roadhouse type atmosphere inside with ample seating, the place was pretty busy for right before Christmas, lots of families inside. I 've yet to try the smokery in my hometown but this is just up the road and the pricing is friendly where I have heard the smokery is not. As movies at the Roxy are commonplace In my Life, I can see me returning without a doubt for a pre flick meal!
