Despite some limitations like a Sunday rule for ordering full meals or not accepting credit cards below a certain limit, the food is excellent, portions are generous, and Covid precautions are carefully observed. The well-maintained historic building is conveniently located near Stansted Airport, making it a perfect stop for travelers. Overall, the Three Horseshoes offers a pleasant dining experience and comes highly recommended by visitors for its welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and accommodating staff.
Looking for a pub for a Sunday lunch as we hadnt booked anything. Very friendly found a table for us straight away.. even though they were very busy. Service was friendly prompt and nice. Everything was explained. Drinks and order taken straight away. Food came...within minutes fresh and hot Sunday roast with meats veg Yorkshire and potatoes very well cooked and good price. Afters sticky toffee pudding and custard What more can you ask for. Highly recommend to anyone in ths area
Great food and great atmosphere. Went with a group of caravans. Great people. Definitely worth a visit. meals all out together and everyone was great. Lots of different ones too
Rather tired looking country pub that has seen better days. Refused to take credit card which seems odd in the day unless you reach a certain spend limit that they tell you about after you’ve ordered. Couldn’t order bar food on the menu as there’s...a Sunday rule that you have to order a full meal, even though it was and pretty empty- needs to be a bit more customer focused !
Visiting the area for a few days . We went to the Three Horseshoes on Friday September and Sunday the with our dog . We were made to feel so welcome and the staff were very friendly and appeared to enjoy their work...and meeting people. The pub was lovely with a good atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious. We had mains from the menu Friday and Sunday roast on the My husband had a dessert and I had coffee. We wish we lived near as this would definitely be somewhere we would frequent. Thanks you for everything we would strongly recommend you without hesitation.
We had our first visit to the three horseshoes tonight and I have to say it definitely won’t be our last! We wanted somewhere that felt cozy and traditional but with good food and I have to say it’s the best food we’ve ever had...in a pub! Real hearty food, cooked to perfection, big portions and the prices are so reasonable! The owners are such lovely people who really made us feel welcome. The service was just brilliant! Whether you’re a couple or you’re looking for place that’s away from everything, with great scenery and lots of land for kids to run around outside then it’s definitely a must visit.
