I visited Kalma based on it's trip advisor rating and was not disappointed. The restaurant is slightly out of the centre of town but walkable and easy enough to find. Reservations are recommended as all but 1 table was taken. I was dining alone and noted that 3 other diners were doing the same so felt very comfortable doing so. What Wilfried Ziegler doesn't like about Kalma Resto:
it's okay, but it's definatly much too expensive for what it is. I had sashimi, which was in the ground wild salmon slice with soy sauce, and then the smoked meat was only two small pieces meat without soaking and a few small cuts. raw vegetables as a supplement. really not enough in a lot and not enough up on eating. I do not recommend this restaurant. only a good point were the waiters nice and efficient. View all feedback.
Estuve el mes pasado, (estamos recorriendo el sur de Argentina el fin del mundo) y decidimos probar este restaurante por su buena valoración.Pedimos el menú degustación, es lo mas recomendable. La carta de vinos es la adecuada y hay donde elegir.La atención excelente ( la moza creo que se llama Anabella) siempre atenta y simpática nos resolvió las dudas. El precio es el correcto a mi entender por la calidad y la atención recibida.Volveria a repetir seguro.

I went for the recommended choice of a 5 course tasting menu which comprised ceviche made from a local white fish from the beagle channel and an excellent centolla dish. Matching wines or wine by the glass were available. The price was moderately expensive but well worth it for the quality of the food and attention to detail. A must visit for any foodie types visiting Ushuaia or just someone looking for a great meal.
Excelencia en el servicio tanto del personal de atención en sala como dentro de la cocina. La calidez brindada por el personal es acompañada por el trabajo de primera calidad y presentación de los platos. Exquisito y adaptable a todos los gustos.Recomendación segura, vale la pena!
Fuimos a comer en pareja a Kalma y la experiencia fue mas que gratificante, el lugar es ameno con un ambiente muy agradable.la degustación de platos que hicimos fue progresiva y bien articulada, yendo de menor mayor para dejar sobre el final de la misma una sensación increíble. La combinación de sabores y texturas, que fueron siempre bien acompañada por los vinos, hicieron de la comida algo mas que solo comer.UNA IMPORTANTE RECOMENDACION... si solo quieren matar el hambre luego de un dia agitado, kalma no es su lugar, pero si su intencion es ir a disfrutar de la comida y de una experiencia distinta, el chef Jorge y su equipo son los indicados.
MAGNÍFICO, el menú degustacion fue una gran elección. Sus productos de Gran calidad y su personal de lo más Simpatica y atenta. VOLVEREMOS SIEMPRE!
