Hunter's Head Tavern - UPPERVILLE

We enjoyed a nice weekend lunch celebrating a birthday. This is one of our favorite places to eat in the Shenandoah region. The ambience is calm and quiet, so entertainment can flow while enjoying healthy entrees and delicious desserts. Very recommended

Visit the Easter Brunch 2023, and the food was excellent! They were muded so the service was a little slow, but the man, the food was incredible. I will say that the price felt a little steep for this frugal franny as the main course was with cheap sides (size, eggs and fruit), but you also got an incredible app, salad and dessert. So overall I was thrilled!

I'm sure the beautiful tavern inside must be much better than the dirty tent and chairs outside. I think they must have been short on the staff for Easter brunch because we waited 10 minutes for the table to be cleaned so that we could sit on our assigned table while others were moved before us to their assigned seats. When each course was served, it was cold already soup and the duck and the beautiful dessert. I suppose the food was until our waitress had time to bring it to us. It would have been a nice meal this special day. I was disappointed and embarrassed that I took my guest in Hunter's head.

Price-resistant food? Some people got a piece of meat some 5 people got cakes with whipped cream... the worst service ever... For the first time I haven't had a tip for years! I also needed 2 hours

Amazing food, service and ambiance! We have occasionally dined at the tavern for many years now and never left less than fully satisfied and impressed. Strongly recommend!
