This place was not busy at 5:15 on a Thursday, except for a bachelorette party. It did start hopping just before 6:00 pm. Ambience was nice, country music wa as playing but not too loud so you could hear a conversation. The food came out quicker than any non and some fast food places. I had my food within 12 minutes after ordering. View all feedback.
What Namrata Panta doesn't like about Tunk's Cypress Inn.:
We've been patrons of this restaurant for over 40 years and always loved it. We love the attitude. The staff is always amazing. The last two times we visited with the guests we brought, the food was a bit disappointing. It didn't taste like fresh or seasoned. One of the disappointing things was really weird. It was garlic potatoes. I don't know what they did to them, but they were watery and didn't look like potatoes... View all feedback.
Food and service were great. We enjoyed the view and enjoyed 3/4 of our night. Our son usually waits until we do dinner again to eat his food, even if we order his food with appetizers. Towards the end? wait again for our son to finish eating, we packed our remains, order to go dessert, and pay for dinner. A customer who looks like they were too late for a reservation needed additional seats and asked if we were going soon. We said? Are you just waiting for our son to eat? She's next to our table watching us and when I show up to wipe my children's face, she takes my chair and sits down and says? I'm just sitting so nobody else can take this table. Our son didn't even finish eating because we were uncomfortable when a stranger took my place and sat at our table. Completely unnecessary, rude and obviously not. I'd give 5 stars, but this incident really disturbed us.

We understand that just now the menus have to be slightly diluted, but I would still expect the same quality what a place has available.
Food was great and the service was great. It was our 22nd wedding anniversary and we decided to come here to eat
12/30/21 came in around 7ish Our Waitress Kristy was the Sweetest! The seafood gumbo and fried fish bites and shrimp were delicious. Most of the customers were downstairs at the Oyster Bar. ?
The casual laid back atmosphere of Tunk?s comes with friendly staff and delicious cuisine. Situated on the Kincaid lake, this local favorite is a great venue for a date night or group dinner party. Share an appetizer of blackened alligator followed by perfectly seared steak with fried shrimp. For a lighter meal, try a blackened salmon steak with roasted vegetables. Whatever you choose, you?ll definitely want to come back for more.
