Steak N Shake - Union City

Very nice staff and eating was great, but the management should be responsible for the dirtyest almost food restaurant that I have been in years (like in, a national chain that should hold a decent standard.) it was also not only that they are not recently tied/cut. in the restaurant was rough, the bathroom (both men and women were bad), and there were tons of mull out and that not only blown in the last days. also here the employees were great and did their best to maintain with revolt and did it with such a kindness. I take this as an on-off for steak’n shake, but it should be seen in both directions.

So this location is on a side street off the main road kinda hidden. The service is still relatively slow (they have to be making food to order). A good place to go to get a inexpensive meal but be prepared to wait a while.

I would give a zero if i could!This workers should be ashamed.. Not 1 clean table.. The floor was so sticky you could hear everyone walking and sticking to the floor. Then they proceed to serve us a slapped together burger with cold fries just tossed on a dirty tray.

I normally don't write reviews unless it's super bad but for here I had to write something down for it. I went through the drive thru but it took forever to get around to get my food. But I couldn't be mad because I understand it's short staff around a lot of places especially when I work in the food area myself. I would have gave four stars but the reason it's two is because when I got my bag it was so wet that the food literally bust through it when I had put it in the car. Luckily my sister was there to catch the food. Also the bag was super cold. Like the food was just thrown in the bag without any type of cooking at all to it. Overall the cold food, the little wait and the bag busting open has made this a disappointing experience. I give two stars though because the lady who handed my food was super nice though!

Wish I could give a ZERO. I dont normally write a review but I had to after speaking to the ignorant owner who ultimately told me there was nothing the corporate office could do because its a franchisee restaurant. I order a COOKIES N CREAM Milk Shake and half way through I realized it was mostly snickers (NUTS). I called to say my burger was cold I had mostly NUTS n my Milkshake. The owner told me I was suposed to tell them about my allergy to nuts they would have washed out the shake cup. Uhhhhh sooooo u dont wash it out after every use? We would have double cleaned it. Uhhhhh so I thought a clean was a clean. He basically kept blaming me for not letting them know I had a nut allergy. Now I realized why you all have an 89 on ur health inspection. Its the need to double wash not wash the 1st time. He never apologized til I mnetioned it it KEPT BLAMING ME for not telling them I had a nut allergy. You come in our neighborhoods think you're gona treat us like this theres no consequences? Well lets send the health dept see what they have to say about it. ILL NEVER GO BACK IF I were you....Id never go either.
