Tucked away in the hood of Hayward, you’ve got this lil nice family run restaurant that’s out of this world! The customer service here is unmatched to the point I thought I was a in michelin restaurant. The chinese cashier makes sure your food come out piping hot and deliciously fantasia. With the flick of the wrist and the spin of the heel, your food comes out in the blink of an eye. And now that’s what I called cus... View all feedback.
What Angela H doesn't like about King Calamari:
Delicious calamari (soft version) but cash only when order over the phone, you must specify soft or else you 'll get the crispy version by default bevause they don 't ask what you want. View all feedback.

This place has some good crispy calamari. It's basically squid chicarrones. The squid is fried until it's crunchy. It's seafoody and salty. Perfect for snacking, and everyone will be happy when you pull up with a box. Prices have gone up to like $20 for a small box BUT, good luck actually getting some. No one picks up the phone, they are open and closed on a whim. They basically only sell the crispy calamari now. I want to try the soft kind but they have not had it or was closed the last 5 times I went. I only keep going back because I haven't found another place that makes it taste like it. I get it, worker shortage, increased cost. But get your act together! There is demand though. Y'all can make a killing if you were just consistent and picked up a phone. Actually, if you are the owner, message me. How much do you want for the shop? What are you paying for NNN?
I love their calamari! Stays crispy for days. Serves as appetizer anytime.
They have several different dishes here but one draws me back all the time the calamari the soft calamari extra jalapeno peppers so delicious I was too hungry to take a picture so that's how good it was I recommend this place they have trays for parties also not sure on the price it's a small restaurant family-owned business
