Came here and got coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Friendly service and clean shop, just overpriced... $4.50 for a small black coffee, $9.25 for an English muffin sandwich. That's a lot even for 2023. Parking situation also sucks. View all feedback.
What Jam J Baker doesn't like about Hippies Brew:
I think its really telling how a business can build off the back of Black culture and have literally no Black people or Black management working there. The amount of AAVE used throughout the business from the “Gang$tas paradise” to the “H2 the izzo” to “yo mama’s cinnamon toast. Its literally weird and offensive culture vulture behavior. Definitely needs a rebrand View all feedback.
I walked in at 2pm, BEFORE CLOSING HOURS, for them to say sorry, we 're closed. The least they could do was lock the doors and leave a message explaining why they had to close early. This is not the first time that I have experienced this level of unreliability. As a neurodivergent customer who has enjoyed this spot for months and worked hard to get a Meetup started there, I have no words to describe how deeply disappointed I am.

My granddaughter has been treating me with ice coffee named The Beyonce from this place and I'm addicted. I'm going to visit to taste their food.
This location is a hit or miss they have their hours posted here on Yelp yet they are not actually open on those times. And then on some weekends they are opened and then closed early ? Great location for the local neighborhood but parking is chaotic. And the only way to find out if they are open is if you drive by and see that there are chairs outside in front or their door is open. Glad Sujus is now opened on Decoto, Union City !
