What User doesn't like about Tamarind Little Twisty Little Tangy:
The Lamb masala has too much ginger put into it. Also ordered tandoori naan but came as chapati. It was not well cooked. Very hard and blackened as showed in the picture below. We paid $27.00 for this dish. It?s not worth the money paid. I rather go else next time when I am ordering out. Total disappointment. To be frank, It?s sub standard. View all feedback.
Tables are very small, if four people have more than 2 dishes something will fall on the floor. Appetizers seem the best, my shrimp vindaloo had about 4 shrimp in it and a lot of sauce, it was hot as l had requested but with a burnt taste. Garlic nan didn't taste of Garlic.Food: 1/5
Run for your life from this place. The guys sitting at the bar are the safest thing here because they will not move toward you or touch anything. My butter chicken was no chicken at all, some kind of grey pork substance. Couldn't be sure because we couldn't cut through it. This is me being kind in this review. Much worse happened that I would rather not mention.
My first visit here with three other friends. Arrived at 5:00 PM on a Saturday. Only three other guests in the place. Parking lot and exterior were not inviting causing some hesitation, but continued in. There are many Indian restaurants in Tucson. Best to try others. Their level of heat seemed much, MUCH hotter than other places. Ordered chicken saag mild (from choices of mild, medium, hot) and it was inedible. Those who ordered medium perspired through their meal. When the check came, my dish didn 't have a heat level on it like the dishes ordered by the others . Can 't speak much about the service with only one other table of two and one guest at the bar. So the one server working didn 't have any difficulties.
Just okay. Pretty expensive for small portions and rice does not come with any curry. We dined in the restaurant once when our favorite place was closed and it was just okay. The restaurant itself was beautiful but the waiter seemed annoyed when my father was asking him about their menu which is devoid of details of their dishes. The menu would show a dish name and it 's description would be something like meat with smooth gravy rather than anything that would help you decide if you would like that meal or not. The butter chicken was completely flavorless, as were as Marsala and whatever other curry we got. The naan was the best part of the whole meal. We each got a pint of beer and it was flat. We 've gotten it delivered twice before. Everything is hot and packaged well when it is delivered but again, the food is flavorless. The Marsala curry had a really strange grainy texture and the butter chicken is just generally boring, bland, and doesn 't taste like any butter chicken I 've had before. Saffron Indian Bistro is a much better restaurant in Tucson.
I and a friend ventured out for an exploration in Indian cuisine. We had an enjoyable lunch and excellent service. Our server helped us pair up some interesting dishes and made every effort to treat our curious taste buds. He even went the extra mile by chasing us down as we were leaving the parking lot to bring us our forgotten credit card!! We will return for more delicious dishes. Thank you!!
