What a treat. We just kinda stumbled on this hidden gem. The food was fabulous, the beauty is something you must see in person. Photos do no justice to all the charm. We will definitely come back. View all feedback.
What Daija Roberts doesn't like about Elvira's:
Steak was extremely over seasoned and overcooked. The coffee was awful... I'm trying to paint a romantic picture, but this restaurant was oddly pretty bad. The drinks contained almost no alcohol. The appetizer was frankly not good. The flan and chips they give you were the only decent things. The service was exceptional. But, I think I'd take good food over amazing service... Wonderful service, food was great! The server was attentive and didn't rush us. The decor is beautiful. The decor shoppe attached was great to walk through, and I would love to come back to the restaurant and the shoppe.
Food was great, the atmosphere was great, and the service was great. The chairs, however, are the most uncomfortable known to man. They feel like they will collapse at any moment and you sink so far into them that if you don't have Sciatica when you sitdown to eat, you will when you leave. And it's not like it's a fluke and we got bad chairs. We've been there before and had thesame issue. This trip, we even swapped chairs with an empty table..same issue. My wife literally sat in a 600 year old chair inWarsaw, Poland that was sturdier and more comfortable.
