Connaught Place Restaurant - Tsawwassen

Small, quiet place, tucked away in the back of a medical office building. Parking can be a bit of a challenge at times. Good selection of traditional Indian dishes, great portion sizes. Service is friendly but slow, but the food is never disappointing. When she heard that my son was particularly fond of the chai tea, the owner gave my son a small container of chai spices to take home. Great value, here. The dining room is a little dark. Lately, they have been closed on Wednesdays.

The restaurant is small and tucked away at the back of the Connaught Place mall. It offers a varied menu. The service was fine and friendly. The samosas and the fish pakora were fine and pretty good. It appeared the fish was fresh and wasn't watery at all. The channa masala and aloo mutter were fine along with the breads. Their onion naan was very nice! The chicken tikka dish was the weakest, the chicken was very tough and overdone probably the chicken was previously frozen before being cooked. Value for money is average, so no complaints there. Despite the rating and review, I have given above, there is enough quality for me to consider coming back. There were some good dishes and some not so good.

If you find yourself in Tsawwassen, this little curry spot is perfect for a quick, delicious and friendly meal. The portions are generous and prices are good. I can recommend every dish on the menu that we've tried so far. The only drawback is finding it as it's tucked in the back of a strip mall so you have to know where you're headed. I asked about the rather English name and was told by the proprietor that it's the name of region in the family's home city of New Delhi, in case you were interested.
