We are staying in Cave Yucca just down from this restaurant so we thought we'd try it out. Absolute value for money. The food offered was excellent and the house wine was very acceptable. We have only broken schoolboy French but that was not a problem to the owner as we managed to make ourselves understood. In fact quite a few guests helped us both. What Gary E doesn't like about Auberge du Chateau:

Don't let the decor put you off! Food was absolutely correct and service friendly. High above Troo, opposite the church there's way parking..
This small restaurant was a most welcome find. After a long climb up the steep hill of Troo we decided to have lunch here and were glad we did. Very pleasant room, owner, and the food was excellent. Not expensive, 16.50 euro for three courses, with varied choices. Wine list was very nice, inexpensive and appropriate for the restaurant. If you expect too much from a place like this you will be disappointed. Very worthwhile and we would surely go there again given the opportunity.
Husband front of room, wife behind the scenes (mostly) This rock n roll loving couple make it an easy place to lunch or dinner. We go back often for uncomplicated reasonable food
We enjoyed the friendliness, excellent meal, and value of this charming family run restaurant up the hill from our rental stone house.
