Nells Park Hotel - Trier

This is a 4-star hotel. it's more than 4 comtes. I expressly reserved a right room. have the room directly at the reception and close to the parking and shoe cleaning machine. After complaining to me, they gave me a room above the restaurator. the room was totally overheated and there was NO air con. the head of the shower could not be brought into a higher position due to a short hose. so it was only for people under 1.5m. the personal tried to be helpful. wireless works well. the breakfast was good and quite rich. parking is quite small. the park behind the hotel is visited by quite strange people. we were not eager to go there after sunrise. we would not choose the hotel again if there is a reasonable alternative.

Very nice location with park view (we waten on the terrace.) limited selection of oriented. he has good and healthy starter (Lentils-based,) and calfsleber and schinitzel as net. both very good! service, however could be much better because several. time for the second beer had to wait and wait for coffee. presumably close staff.

We stayed in the hotel and wanted to taste the hotel restaurant. warm day, and the terrace was the perfect place for a meal in the evening. one of us ordered pasta and the other perch, delicious food, fresh food and all well prepared. the service was good, good place to have dinner when in the hotel, not too many restaurants nearby.

On christmas eve we enjoyed a three-course menu, it was a selection menu (2 elements for starter, three for haupt) except dessert. we started with a good suppe (made with truffle oil and chips) and duck breast with mango sauce, very delicious. all in all. in front of the hand we served brot (oliv and brown, with crimped cream) and a goat cheese ball as an appetizer. the main thing was cooked with ratatouille and criminal roast potatoes (all baked in special butter) and the other dish was cartoffel dumplings with coleslaw (German style) and light callbsal. dessert was coffee truffle chocolate mousse with canned walnuts. all in all we had a very good dinner, eating was nice. would certainly recommend this place. we were in the hotel, but everyone is welcome to eat.

Pros: good ambiance terrace with a fine view over the park tasty food but nothing mind blowing friendly staff, we felt welcome Cons: nothing really, a little clumsiness when it comes to the waitress who spilled some of the french...fries while bringing the plate to our table, but that was rather funny, wouldn’t take such thing into consideration Prices: burger 15€, caesar salad 15€, soup 6€, soda 2,8€ Overall a good place to have a date night. Meals are not incredible but they are tasty and freshly cooked. You kinda pay for the view, but that’s my personal point of view of course and in the end we enjoyed every second of it.
